# Create Ad From Post

> Promotes posts that already exist in an X Ads ad group, up to 50 at once, creating the ads (promoted tweets)

Promotes posts that already exist in an X Ads ad group, up to 50 at once, creating the ads (promoted tweets). Use it with organic posts from x\_ads\_list\_posts, or with posts built by the format ad nodes using post\_only. To create a new post and promote it in one step, use x\_ads\_create\_text\_ad, x\_ads\_create\_image\_ad, x\_ads\_create\_video\_ad, or x\_ads\_create\_carousel\_ad.

## Inputs

X rejects posts that do not fit the ad group's objective; notably, WEBSITE\_CLICKS ad groups only accept posts containing a website link or card. Take the IDs from the id\_str or tweet\_id field, never a numeric id: X ids are 64-bit and any tool that stores them as a number rounds them into a post that does not exist. |
