# Filter Data

> Filters datasets based on specified conditions

Filters datasets based on specified conditions. Provide input data and define field names with their filtering criteria.

## Inputs

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |

| `data` | any | Yes | - | The data you want to filter (from previous steps like spreadsheets, get report, etc) |
| `conditions` | array of Condition | Yes | - | Add conditions to filter your data. For example: status equals 'active', budget is greater than 100, or name contains 'marketing'. Use column names from your data. |

### Condition

| `expression` | string | Yes | - | Field name e.g 'age', must match the key names in the data |
| `operator` | string | Yes | - | The condition operator, must be one of the available operators |
| `value` | string | Yes | - | The value to compare against |
| `joiner` | string | No | - | Optional joiner for multiple conditions (e.g., 'AND', 'OR'). Joiner should be added from second condition onwards. Don't add to the first condition. |

## Output

**Type**: `List[Dict]`

Returns filtered data matching conditions.

**Fields**: dynamic (depend on the inputs)
