# Update Ad

> Advanced: partially updates a Snapchat ad (name, status, schedule, tracking URLs) from a raw field payload; only provided fields change

Advanced: partially updates a Snapchat ad (name, status, schedule, tracking URLs) from a raw field payload; only provided fields change. Prefer the dedicated status and rename operations for simple changes.

## Inputs

Editable fields per the Snapchat docs: name, status (ACTIVE/PAUSED), start\_time, end\_time (ISO 8601), third\_party\_paid\_impression\_tracking\_urls, and third\_party\_on\_swipe\_tracking\_urls (lists of https URLs from approved domains). creative\_id is NOT editable on an ad: to change the creative content (headline, CTA, attachment URL), use snapchat\_ads\_update\_creative on the ad's creative, which affects all ads using it and triggers re-review; to show entirely different content, create a new creative and a new ad instead. Prefer the dedicated operations for plain changes: snapchat\_ads\_update\_ad\_status and snapchat\_ads\_rename\_ad. Example: \{"end\_time": "2026-09-30T00:00:00Z"} |
