# Create Ad

> Advanced: creates a Reddit Ads ad from an existing post ID: organic posts from reddit_ads_list_posts, posts made with reddit_ads_create_post, or catalog/product ads via shopping_creative

Advanced: creates a Reddit Ads ad from an existing post ID: organic posts from reddit\_ads\_list\_posts, posts made with reddit\_ads\_create\_post, or catalog/product ads via shopping\_creative. For new image, video, carousel, or text ads prefer the dedicated reddit\_ads\_create\_\*\_ad operations, which create the post and ad together. Ads are created PAUSED by default.
