# Create Brand List

> Create a brand list in a Microsoft Ads account, optionally populated with brands

Create a brand list in a Microsoft Ads account, optionally populated with brands. Brand lists drive brand inclusion and exclusion on Performance Max and AI Max campaigns. Brands are identified by numeric ID only; Microsoft offers no name lookup, so get IDs from a list built in their interface and read back with microsoft\_ads\_list\_shared\_list\_items.

## Inputs

Optional; the list can be created empty and filled later with microsoft\_ads\_add\_brands\_to\_brand\_list. Microsoft exposes no way to look a brand up by name, so these IDs have to come from a brand list built in the Microsoft Advertising interface, readable with microsoft\_ads\_list\_shared\_list\_items. |
