# Get Ad Creative

> Fetches a Meta ad creative by ad_id or creative_id and returns the raw creative payload

Fetches a Meta ad creative by ad\_id or creative\_id and returns the raw creative payload. Use when editing an existing ad's creative content. Workflow: meta\_ads\_get\_ad\_creative -> modify the payload -> meta\_ads\_create\_ad\_creative (returns a new creative\_id) -> meta\_ads\_replace\_ad\_creative (attaches it to the ad).

## Inputs

| `ad_id` | string | No | - | The ad ID to look up. The runner will resolve its current creative and return it. Provide either ad\_id or creative\_id (not both required). |
| `creative_id` | string | No | - | The creative ID to fetch directly. Use this when you already know the creative ID and don't need an ad lookup. Provide either ad\_id or creative\_id. |

## Output

**Type**: `Dict`

Returns the ad ID (if provided), the resolved creative ID, and the raw creative payload from Meta.
