# Update Creative

> Advanced: partially updates a DV360 creative from a raw v4 field payload with an update mask; only masked fields change

Advanced: partially updates a DV360 creative from a raw v4 field payload with an update mask; only masked fields change. Use entityStatus to activate, pause, or archive a creative. The mask is derived from the payload when omitted. Supports dry\_run.

## Inputs

| `creative_id` | string or SelectItem | Yes | - | ID of the DV360 creative to update. Do not repeat it inside update\_payload. |

Only the fields named in the update mask are changed. Common editable fields: entityStatus (ENTITY\_STATUS\_ACTIVE, ENTITY\_STATUS\_PAUSED, or ENTITY\_STATUS\_ARCHIVED to retire a creative), displayName, exitEvents, notes, and thirdPartyUrls.
