# Create Dataset

> Creates a new dataset in a Google BigQuery project (idempotent if exists_ok=true)

## Inputs

| `project` | string or SelectItem | Yes | - | Select the Google BigQuery project, ask the user for it if not provided |
| `dataset_id` | string | Yes | - | Dataset ID (alphanumeric or underscore). Must not already exist unless exists\_ok is true. |
| `location` | string | No | - | Location for the dataset (e.g. US, EU). If omitted BigQuery default is used. |
| `description` | string | No | - | Optional description for the dataset. |
| `exists_ok` | boolean | No | `False` | If true, the operation will succeed even if the dataset already exists. |
