| **App** | Amazon Ads |
| **Operation ID** | `amazon_ads_create_campaign` |
| **Type** | Action |
| **Connection** | `amazon_ads` (required) |
| **Credits per run** | 1 |
| **Agent / MCP tool** | Yes |

## Inputs

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| `account` | DynamicAccount | Yes | - | Select the Amazon Ads profile (advertiser + marketplace) to create the campaign in. |
| `ad_product` | string or SelectableOption | Yes | - | The Amazon ad product for the campaign. Options: SPONSORED\_PRODUCTS, SPONSORED\_BRANDS, SPONSORED\_DISPLAY, or SPONSORED\_TELEVISION. Determines which fields are required: Sponsored Products needs a budget, start date, and auto\_create\_targets choice; Sponsored Brands additionally needs cost\_type and a goal KPI inside optimizations. |
| `campaign_name` | string | Yes | - | Name of the Amazon Ads campaign. |
| `state` | string or SelectableOption | No | `{'value': 'PAUSED', 'label': 'Paused'}` | Campaign state on creation. Options: ENABLED, PAUSED, DRAFT, or PROPOSED. Default: PAUSED. |
| `budget_value` | number | No | - | Campaign budget in the profile's currency (for example 50 for \$50; Amazon takes plain currency amounts, not micro-units). Required for Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands unless the raw budgets field is used. |
| `budget_recurrence` | string or SelectableOption | No | `{'value': 'DAILY', 'label': 'Daily'}` | How the budget recurs: DAILY, LIFETIME, or MONTHLY. Default: DAILY. Used together with budget\_value. |
| `budgets` | array of object or string | No | - | Advanced alternative to budget\_value: the raw Amazon Ads API v1 budgets array, sent as-is. Each entry needs budgetType (MONETARY), budgetValue, and recurrenceTimePeriod (DAILY, LIFETIME, or MONTHLY). Use for advanced cases like marketplace-level budget settings on global campaigns. Example: \[\{"budgetType": "MONETARY", "budgetValue": \{"monetaryBudgetValue": \{"monetaryBudget": \{"value": 100}}}, "recurrenceTimePeriod": "DAILY"}] |
| `start_date_time` | string | No | - | Campaign start as an ISO datetime (2026-09-01T00:00:00Z) or YYYY-MM-DD date. Required for Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands. |
| `end_date_time` | string | No | - | Optional campaign end as an ISO datetime or YYYY-MM-DD date. The campaign runs indefinitely when omitted. |
| `marketplace_scope` | string or SelectableOption | No | - | SINGLE\_MARKETPLACE targets one retail marketplace; GLOBAL creates a global campaign across marketplaces. Defaults to SINGLE\_MARKETPLACE for Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands (where Amazon requires it). |
| `marketplaces` | array of string or SelectableOption | No | - | Retail marketplaces for the campaign (for example US, GB, DE, JP). Required for Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands: with SINGLE\_MARKETPLACE scope pass exactly one, matching the profile's marketplace (shown in the profile name). |
| `countries` | string or array of string | No | - | Optional two-letter country codes that impact targeted supply (for Sponsored Ads, countries the campaign serves in). List or comma-separated text. |
| `cost_type` | string or SelectableOption | No | - | How the campaign is charged: CPC, CPM, FIXED\_PRICE, or VCPM. Required for Sponsored Brands (CPC is the common choice). |
| `auto_create_targets` | boolean | No | - | Whether Amazon auto-creates targets for the campaign (auto targeting). Required for Sponsored Products: true for auto-targeting campaigns, false for manual targeting (add keywords or product targets afterwards). |
| `auto_manage_campaign` | boolean | No | - | Let Amazon fully auto-manage the campaign (autoCreationSettings.autoManageCampaign). Leave unset unless you explicitly want it. |
| `optimizations` | object or string | No | - | Raw Amazon Ads API v1 optimizations object, sent as-is. Keys: bidSettings (bidStrategy such as MANUAL, SALES\_UP\_AND\_DOWN, SPEND\_BUDGET\_IN\_FULL, plus bidAdjustments with placementBidAdjustments/audienceBidAdjustments/shopperSegmentBidAdjustments), goalSettings (kpi such as CLICKS, PURCHASES, ROAS, with optional kpiValue; required for Sponsored Brands), budgetSettings (offAmazonBudgetControlStrategy), and primaryInventoryTypes. Example: \{"bidSettings": \{"bidStrategy": "SALES\_UP\_AND\_DOWN"}, "goalSettings": \{"kpi": "CLICKS"}} |
| `portfolio_id` | string or SelectItem | No | - | Optional portfolio ID to place the campaign in. |
| `brand_id` | string | No | - | Optional brand ID the campaign is associated with (Sponsored Brands). |
| `product_category_id` | string | No | - | Optional product category ID associated with the campaign. |
| `sales_channel` | string or SelectableOption | No | - | Where sales happen: AMAZON or OFF\_AMAZON (Sponsored Brands only). |
| `site_restrictions` | array of string or SelectableOption | No | - | Restrict the campaign to particular Amazon sites: AMAZON\_BUSINESS and/or AMAZON\_HAUL (Sponsored Products only). |
| `tags` | array of object or string | No | - | Open-ended labels applied to the campaign, as a raw JSON array of \{"key": ..., "value": ...} objects. Example: \[\{"key": "team", "value": "growth"}] |
